Deusi Bhailo Program

On the occasion of Tihar, members of RAC Patan South along with few memebers from the Interact Club of St. Xavier’s organized a Deusi-bhailo fund raising event on the 14th of November. The members visited the houses of many Rotarians and performed musical song and dances along with the traditional deusi-bhailo song. Apart from the enjoyable experience for the members, the club was successful in raising a total amount of Rs. 21030. 

It was a very fun and memorable. We sang, danced, rapped, chased by a drunk man, and collected tons of Money for our Club :)

Seminar on Biogas and Rainwater harvesting

RAC Patan South organized a talk show on clean energy by Biogas Support Program (BSP) Nepal on 8th September at Kamal Mani theatre, Rato Bangala School. Experts from BSP Nepal delivered the talk on rain water harvesting and biogas power plant. They discussed the scope and market of these clean energies in Nepal. Also presenting the model of rainwater harvesting, the experts enlightened the crowd on various types of biogas plants and the one most effective and feasible in Nepal’s context. They even answered queries of inquisitive minds.
The program saw a respectable number of keen interacts and rotaracts from various clubs from all around the valley willing to broaden their knowledge on the topic. It was indeed a very informative talk program with enthusiastic youths showing their interest in discussing energy issues.
